The rest of the volume has extracts and transcripts of documents. He has provided a full-length portrait William Gardiner whose standards were low even by 16th century standards. A remarkable example of what dogged research can uncover. Bound in a blue-gray cloth, spine lettering gilt, mostly unopened. just a small bit of staining to lower edge of rear board. A very good copy.
