Augsburg: Joh. Jacobi Lotter, & Filii, 1801. Paperback. Very Good -. 2nd violin part only. 63, [1] p.: music; 34 cm. Signatures: *A- 2 (folio). Spine and corners covered in remnants of an earlier music manuscript; very faint marbled paper over boards. Paper label on front board with handwritten title: Violino II. The composer, Johann Melchior Dreyer (1746-1824), published over 50 masses and requiems. This is opus 17, not the more common Sex Missae, opus 2, which was printed in 1790. No publication information, although it is most likely that this was printed in Augsburg by Lotter in 1801 (opus 14 was published in 1800 and opus 18 in 1802). In Very Good- Condition: binding is rubbed but solid; old repairs to lower corner of most leaves, with only minimal loss on pp. 43-44; soiling, primarily in lower corners; a solid copy.
