Black cloth, titles stamped in silver on the spine, light blue decorated front and rear endpapers, xvii [blank], 294 pp., frontispiece, preface, acknowledgments, introduction, illustrated from photographs, portraits, maps, epilogue, notes, bibliography, index. Author believes one William T. Phillips, who died in Spokane, Washington in 1937 was Butch Cassidy. A newspaper clipping idated 4/78 s affixed to the rear free fly leaf regarding this book. Also affixed to the rear pastedown sheet is a bulletin that promotes this book and the author visiting a Tucson book store to promote, discuss and sign copies.Laid-in is a critique of the book by a former owner. Paul Rossi, the one-time owner of this book is a well-regarded artist, illustrator, author, and historian especially of the Transmississippi West. Fine bright copy in a bright fresh dust jacket.
