Quite handsome first edition of this authoritative study. Front flyleaf bears a choice, large presentation inscription in black fineline to a then-U.S. Senator: "Senator Stevenson In appreciation / Special Committee on a / National Trading Corporation / House of Commons / Canada / September 25, 1980," followed by the exact same inscription below entirely in French. Adlai E. Stevenson III (b. 1930) served as Democratic senator from Illinois from 1970 to 1981.
