The text is illustrated with contemporary black-and-white photographs scattered throughout the book. Tan coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and bumping to the backstrip edges and shelf wear to the lower book edges. Light browning to the text block edges and faint foxing to the top text block edge. Photographic dustwrapper, showing F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway with black and white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and a little creasing to the dustwrapper corners and the top rear dustwrapper corner has a small split. Fading to the backstrip and the top backstrip edge has chipping and the laminate has slightly peeled away. A reassessment of the friendship and correspondence between F.
