Copyright page states first American edition but has a book club indentation on back cover. 304 pages including index, biographical notes on the key people mentioned in the text, and bibliography. This is, of course, the biography of Robert Falcon Scott, one of England's great heroes of the twentieth, culminating in his attempt to be the first to reach the South Pole in 1911.
