Good-VG/No Jacket (none issued). 13.5 Cm x 18.5 Cm. xix+395+(22, pub.list); heraldic library donation plate of St.Thomas's Hospital to front pastedown (dated 1939), their fairly faint oval stamp to t.p and tiny 4-digit number top same, no other lib.marks, no spine label and otherwise internally clean, tight and u marked, textblock slightly cocked; covers clean and unworn bar hint of spine end rubbing. Issued in 'The Contemporary Science' series, date of 1st ed. not given but preface dated October 1889.
