This book "consists of an edition of over 300 'graffiti' on ceramics and other objects found in the course of recent excavations and mostly unpublished. About 75 of these are documents in a non-Greek language, presumably the little-known Thracian. The others are Greek. In an introductory section the author gives an account of the linguistic and religious significance of these graffiti. All the inscriptions of individual character as well as representative examples of repetitive types are illustrated in line drawings and photographs." (dj).
