Dust jacket is clean, not price clipped, unchipped, with slight edge wear and one short closed edge tear, slight age-toning; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Unusual anthropoligical / adventure narrative by a French photographer and author who came close to getting himself and his three photographers killed when trying to photograph the sacred practices and secret rites of the African Toma tribe in the forests of Guinea, whose sacred rituals included fetishism, as well as savage male and female initiations..
