Raised bands. Beveled edges. Marbled textblock edges. Boards moderately rubbed and scuffed, particularly at extremities. Front board previously partially detached, but has been repaired. Original marbled endsheets have been replaced with bright white paper, with only the original rear free endpaper remaining. Mild foxing throughout. Words of 19th-century wisdom for the youth of the era, with a heavy Christian influence. Illustrated.
