The text is illustrated with two inserts, of eight pages each, of black-and-white photography. Colour photographic card cover with white and gilt coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. In 1995 one of Britain's oldest merchant banks, Barings, collapsed. The cause? Apparently the trading activities of one man  the author. For, as the rear panel blurb states "... The story he has to tell surpasses the peaks of imagination of the most creative novelist: the candid, compelling confession of a pure gambler who found himself sucked into a spiral of terrifying loss."
