About This Item

From the dust jacket: front flap, "The book takes the reader from the frontier and trading days through the era of President Harry Truman to the many worlds of the modern metropolis: its financial clout, its jazz tradition, its architecture and museums, the hotbed of its politics, its growing scientific and medical importance, its superb restaurants, and its beauty."

Book - Very Good condition. Red paper over boards with black cloth spine. Minimal edge/corner wear. Evidence that there may have once been prices on front end paper. Otherwise pages are clean. Binding is tight.

Dust Jacket - Good condition. There was edge and corner wear, but dust jacket was in a clear protective cover when I received it. There is light rubbing to that protective plastic.
