London: Macmillan & Co, 1922 15, 237 pp.; some are uncut. Endapers are foxed and have both the original owner's signature and and previous owner's label. Text is clean, tight and unmarked but toned. Dark grey cloith boards with gold printing on spine have heavily worn corners some surface damage and a portion of the spine is loose but still holding. Written in 1873 it was the definitive book of its kind. Pater strongly influenced the Pre-Raphalite painters.. 6th Edition. Hardcover. Fair. 6" x 9".
