"Reggae Beat and African Beat" is the magazine that grew out of deejays Smith, Hank Holmes and Roger Steffens' early eighties weekly KCRW show "The Reggae Beat". This 1994 (Volume 13, #3) installment is their thirteenth annual "collectors edition" issue devoted to Bob Marley and The Wailers that includes contributions on or by Steffens, Cindy Breakspeare, Bruce Talamon, Glen Adams, Gilly Gilbert, Cedella Booker, Wanda Coleman. Also featured is "Reggae Sunsplash 94" Also featured are regular columns "Reggae Update", "African Music", and more along with loads of informative record reviews, playlists, and advertisements.
