About This Item

New York: Alfred a Knopf, 1977. First Edition. Thin Quarto. This uncorrected proof copy signed by the author also has laid in the note on the letterhead of the Julian Bath Literary Agency addressing it to Dear Greil (?), and signed with the letter W. Housed in protective mylar. This is the author's second book. The book was distributed by Random House. Bound in green printed wrappers, some fading to spine.

Synopsis

An orphaned immigrant's experiences take him from the Hudson River Valley to Harvard, off to sea on a British merchant ship, then finally back to his birthplace, where he serves as an Israeli soldier in the Yom Kippur War.
