Original decorative green cloth, photo-illustration laid down to front cover, gilt lettering, blind stamped decoration to rear cover. Slightly rubbed to extremeties, rear hinge strained, spotting to edges.
Jan N. Brink adjutant of the Ladybrand commando under Crowther when Prinsloo surrendered to General Hunter. The prisoners of war were shipped to Ceylon where Brink had the opportunity to freely travel and explore the island. Written in English, this is a comprehensive contemporary study of Ceylon.
