New York Graphic Society, Boston, 1977. First American Edition. Softcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Color pictorial covers, 144 pages, color and black & white illustrations, edited by Susan Hyman. This book in like new condition EXCEPT book suffered some water damage to bottom of all pages, coming together at gutter. Pages are a little wrinkled in those spots, but there is no musty odor. The breadth of the subject and its appeal to the general public fascinated and encouraged some of the greatest painters and illustrators of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
