About This Item
New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1923. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's original dark green cloth. Very Good with light soiling to cloth, backstrip creased, light wear to corners and spine ends. In a dust jacket from ca. 1927, which advertises Roback's The Psychology of Character from that year on the rear flap; either this could be supplied later by an owner, or the publisher possibly sent out the 1923 editions in later dust jackets until the back-stock of 1923 editions was exhausted. The jacket is Good, with chipping at spine ends, edge wear, and partial splits started at the rear spine joint. Very rare in dust jacket and one of Jung's first truly important books to appear in America.
