London: Printed by T. H. for Edward Dod, 1646. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Small folio, [xx] + 386, with decorated letters and head pieces. First edition, probable second state with the publisher's line reading in full "Printed by T.H. for Edward Dod, and are to be sold in Ivie Lane." (The probable first state, reads"Printed by Tho. Harper for Edvvard Dod."). With the license leaf in front and a blank in rear. Contemporary (likey original) full calf, double blind-ruled front and back, five raised bands, gilt titles and author/date. Description clipped from old book catalog states the book was rebacked which would be about 100 years ago. Front hinge revealed but holding. Minor, faint water stain top margin pages i - vii, rest quite nice.
