First translation into English. Gilt title to spine on light brown cloth boards with decorative paper sides. Fore and lower edges uncut. Top edge gilt. Age darkening to endpapers else very clean, tight and unmarked. Uniform with XVIII Century French Romances edited by Vyvyan Holland. Book plate of Ralph Dickinson inside front cover. 'Le Cousin de Mahomet, ou la Folie Salutaire' was first published in Paris in 1742. So far as can be ascertained, this story has never been translated into English. Bound and Printed at the Curwen Press. B2E. Limited. Hard Cover. Very Good TEG/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
