This book is in good condition. Moderate bumping to both ends of spine. Moderate sunning to top and bottom edges of spine and both boards. Moderate staining to all edges of textblock. Minor staining to both pastedowns and endpapers. Dust jacket is in fair condition. Heavy chipping on both ends of spine. Water damage and heavy staining to both panels. Original 3.50 price on front flap.
The piece is a theatrical adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's 1872 novel The Possessed, later renamed Demons. Camus despised nihilism and viewed Dostoyevsky's work as a prophecy about nihilism's devastating effects.
