Original half dark brown morocco, gilt-lettered backstrip, upper covers titles in gilt. Extremities somewhat worn, internally fine. § First bound edition, from the original parts as issued. A pictorial treat, this is the companion set to the hugely successful "Picturesque America", likewise printed in a large edition but frequently broken up for the superb illustrations.
