Providence: Printed for the author, 1833. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good +. First editon, plain covers, cloth backed. Wood engravings on thin blue paper precede title page. Small stain at gutter of blue leaves and a larger stain in the rear signatures, else internals lightly foxed here and there, edges spotted. Solid binding. Ticket for Walter M. Murdie, Rare Books of Providence RI at bottom of rear pastedown. The author is prophet warning if the dangers of shifting from agrarian economy to the industrial revolution.
