Very good. 2 vols.: l, 430; xiv, 439 p. 25 cm. 43 original illustrations + 223 additional pictures of characters, places, scenes, etc. Blue cloth with gold and blank impressing. Top eges gilt. Light wear to edges. Vol. II has light soiling on front covers and a bit of wrinkling to rear cover near spine. Ink inscription on front free endpapers: "Prize in Surgery Class 1912 Presented to Miss Maud Beckett by H. A. Beatty." Paper browned. A few pages uncut. Occasional foxing or spots.
