About This Item
Paris: Arts et Metiers Graphiques, 1931. Original wraps. Near Fine. The 1931 edition of this impressive, short-lived French annual issued out of Paris and lasting only 11 years in this original incarnation. 124 lavish full-page gravures by the likes of Doris Ulmann, Man Ray, Edward Steichen, Paul Outerbridge, Munkacsi, Lee Miller, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Andre Kertesz, Germaine Krull, Hoyningen-Huene, Herbert Bayer, Cecil Beaton, et al. Also includes over two dozen wonderfully decorative period ads at the rear. This issue has held up very well to boot: clean and Near Fine in its spiral-bound, off-white printed wrappers, with just the slightest touch of spotting to the front panel. Tall quarto, crisp, well-preserved and very presentable, with a number of hauntingly beautiful photos. Also includes a handsome navy-blue custom-made box (with bright gilt-titling along the spine), which houses the annual.
