About This Item

Guilford, Connecticut: The Lyons Press, 2003. Very slight scuffing to outer corners of cover, otherwise a good clean tight copy, with no creasing to the spine, of this soft-cover book. Deals with events off the east coast of Florida in 1994 when Skip Strong, master of the oil tanker Cherry Valley, received a distress call from the ocean-going tug J A Orgeron which had lost power in high winds. He took the tug under tow to safety. The tug was carrying valuable equipment for the US space programme, and Strong and his crew eventually received over $1.7 million for the salvage. 252pp, 8pp b&w illustrations and a map.. Paperback. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
