np: Pennslyvania. FAIR book, even so, FINE inside, including all plates.. (1900). Hardcover. FAIR book. AEG. Tight. FINE inside. "Captain George W. Skinner" gilt stamped on red leather front cover label. 10"x6",500pp. . Half red leather. Identically marbled boards, pastedowns & eps. Covers badly scuffed and worn. Torn spine top. FINE contents. All three gilt edges bright & shiny. No loose pages. No aging, foxing. A later owner's name/address sticker twice on second blank, no other marginalia. Skinner, the editor, had been w the 79th Infantry Regiment. He'd joined at 16, left as a Captain. He became active in Pennslyvania politics and died in 1909. This is likely specially bound by the publisher for Skinner. Or Skinner may have had it bound. .
