Janet Arnold (1932 - 2 1998) was a British clothing historian, costume designer, teacher, conservator, and author, best known for her series of works called Patterns of Fashion, which include accurate scale sewing patterns. These books are regarded highly by museums, theatres, reenactment groups and students.
