First printing. Tape repairs to the dust jacket verso at the head of jacket spine. Owner name on front pastedown and personal library sticker on back pastedown. The New Classics edition. Jacket design by Lustig. Williams was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1963. He is closely associated with the modernist movement in poetry and served as mentor to Allen Ginsberg and other "beat" poets.
