About This Item

(Washington, D. C.: Embassy of Pakistan, nd.ca.1965). Octavo. xiii; 110pp. index. with laid in letter from the Economic Minister of Pakistan. Written by the President of Pakistan which deals with several issues , in particular, those dealing with India and the Kashmir question. The Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 was a disaster that angered many Pakistanis who felt betrayed by the settlement. The letter on Embassy stationery addressed to Jack O'Reilly (spelled Oreilly in letter and envelope) notes the question of self-determination for the people of Kashmir. Signed by S.M. Sulaiman, Economic Minister of Pakistan. He also encloses a typical promotional pamphlet on Pakistan. Bound in blue cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt small stain to lower corner of upper board, in rubbed dust jackt with some chipping to spine ends, and a dampstain to underside of jacket, internally clean.
