Chicago: Ben Abramson, 1955. This is a "lost" playlet by the famed actor/manager William Gillette (1853-1937), who played Sherlock holmes some 1300 times during his career. Originally performed as an olio act in a 1905 production of "Clarice," with Charlie Chaplin in its cast. Yellow decorative cloth binding with a red spine; paper title label on the front cover. Fine condition, with a clean text; 25 pages. Illustrated with a photo of Gillette as Holmes and a playbill from the prodcuction; a sweet little book that was LIMITED to 500 copies. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Fine/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
