About This Item
London: George G. Harrap and Company. 1947. First edition, first printing. First edition, first printing. Original tan cloth with red titles to the spine, light green paper-covered boards with an illustration in brown the the upper board, in dustwrapper. Decorated endpapers. Illustrated throughout with colour plates and black and white line drawings by Nora Hamerton. A near fine copy, the binding square and tight, the boards slightly toned to the extremities. The contents, with a little offsetting to the endpapers, are otherwise clean and bright and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked, price-clipped dustwrapper that has a few tiny closed tears to the edges. A sweet children's story about Malayan family life.
