Illustrator: Photographic and Illustrations. preface by author, acknowledgements, select bibliography, list of illustrations and index. Illustrated end pages, being a reproduction of an Aubrey Beardsley decoration. The text is lavishly illustrated with black-and-white photographs, illustrations and of caricatures, illustrations and colour reproductions of documents. Bright blue coloured cloth covered board with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, being the reproduction of a portrait of Oscar Wilde done by Toulouse -Lautrec, with black coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. A copiously illustrated biography of the Irish playwright, raconteur, novelist and aesthete  Oscar Wilde. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Some sunning of the top book edges with scattered foxing which has also occurred to the text block edges. Age toning of the pages with the occasional foxing spot. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners, back strip edges and along the top dustwrapper edge. The front panel has become slightly askew and there is fading of the back strip. Some tears to the edges of the rear panel. Some grubby marks to the dustwrapper panels. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. [8], 9 - 160 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
