HARDCOVER. 8vo bound in full contemporary calf, gilt embossed spine, marbled end-papers, red printed page-block edges, viii + 548pp plus 20pp table, obituary etc at rear. Text in Latin.. A complete copy of the first edition published a year after Baudory's death. Includes the play 'S. Ludovicus in Vinculis', poems, and various writings on manners, morals and military matters. With a small elegant bookplate on the front paste-down end-paper (Pretre Leclerc) __CONDITION : A well preserved very clean and tight copy with the mildest of wear to cover edges, almost no foxing or tanning to the leaves (minor ink notation to the title-page, no other marks or inscriptions).
