Pages are clean and unmarked -- probably never read. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. 1980. A fact-based tale of a close-knit black family, their fight to maintain respect, and the pressures on minorities in an interracial environment. The author was a teacher, basketball coach and job placement officer in the Mount Clemens (Michigan) school system.
