About This Item

No Dust Jacket

Book: Blemishes - Heavy uniform toning of the pages and edges, consistent with a softcover book that is over 50-years old. Small chip on the LR quadrant of the back panel (photo). Some curing on the Title panel caused by original owner's page turning (photo).

No marks or entries, all pages are present. Spine/panels are still stong and sturdy, no spine cracks! Book still lies flat, plumb, and square (photos).

The original publication date of this book was 1940. Described as "one of the ten best books about California" with several reprints. This is a very rare copy of a 1972 S/C reprint, Comstock Edition, and is a stated First Printing (photo).

"November Grass is more than a regional story of truth -- it is the record of a universe mirrored with unsual insight and power" New York Times Review.
