Slight foxing on edges, but inside is clean and unmarked, with b&w illustrations throughout. A nice, bright copy. Gathering tales from the tribal peoples of Greenland, Canada, Russia, Alaska, and the polar region, which were told and retold through months of long winter night, "Northern Tales", reflects a rich diversity of traditions and cultures, spanning the Way-Back Time through the coming of the first white explorers.
