About This Item

New York: William Morrow and Company, 1991. This Stated First Edition includes a complete "number line" starting with a "1" to indicate First Printing. The book is in Fine condition with a Fine, price-unclipped dust jacket. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. Set in September 1939, days after Britain has declared war against Germany, the book deals with Pan American's Flying Clipper, a luxurious aircraft about to fly its last civilian flight from Europe to New York for many years to come. Needless to say, the odd mix of passengers makes for one of Ken Follett's most enjoyable thrill rides. The book is bound in beige paper over boards, a black spine cloth, and die-stamped gilt spine titles. There is minimum shelf rubbing on the dust jacket's edges. The book measures 6 1/2 by 9 5/8 inches and includes 400 pages. A true collectible for Ken Follett admirers!. Stated First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
