NY: New Masses, Inc., 1926, 1926. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Poor. The fourth issue - August 1926 - of the Greenwich Village-based, Marxist magazine founded in 1926 as part of the Workers (Communist) Party of America's publications, whihc featured the work of leftist and Socialist independent writers and artists. The original editors included artist Hugo Gellert, Egmont Ahrens and others. The cover art of this issue is by Boardman Robinson. Covers are loose and and have suffered loss around the edges; the front cover has tape repairs on its verso. The rest - 31 pages - are stapled bound and in better condition, but torn here and there. Ceased publication in 1948. Uncommon. Poor. Item #013249.
