Nestor Perkal est un artiste polyvalent ayant multiplié ses activités depuis les années 70. Designer de mobilier, d'objets et de luminaires, architecte d'intérieur, scénographe, commissaire d'expositions et directeur artistique, il porte à lui seul, plus de 45 ans de savoir-faire et de recherches. Cette première monographie réalisée à son sujet à pour dessein de retranscrire ce parcours hors-norme, de la manière la plus exhaustive possible. C'est en 1978 et tout juste diplômé que Nestor Perkal quitte sa terre natale, l'Argentine afin de s'installer en France. Il s'épanouit d'abord à Paris en tant que créateur indépendant en éditant ses propres pièces de mobilier. En parallèle, il ouvre une galerie et est le premier à représenter Memphis. Ses créations personnelles sont présentées en 1985, à l'exposition « Vivre en couleurs » de la Fondation Cartier. À Limoges, ensuite, il est au service de l'institution publique, directeur du Craft, centre de recherche sur les arts du feu et de la terre. Une communauté artistique se fait jour autour de lui. Il collabore et entretient des relations fidèles avec nombre de créateurs, designers, artistes, mais aussi fabricants, commanditaires et collectionneurs. Durant presque dix ans, il travaille par exemple, en bonne entente avec le photographe Didier Cazabon. Riche de ces expériences, qui l'ont mené à développer ses différentes pratiques, Nestor Perkal a forgé un savoir-faire cohérent et en accord avec son époque. Plus encore, il a joué et joue encore un rôle essentiel dans la promotion et la production contemporaines de designers, architectes et artistes.

Terms and conditions of sale. Books are offered if unsold. The order of incoming orders will be respected strictly. Orders can be placed via e-mail (info@erik-tonen-books.be), or in writing, preferably not by telephone. The books that are offered online are not available at our bookshop at 48 Kloosterstraat. You will receive an e-mail confirming the availability of the book(s) and providing details with regard to shipment costs (we use Belgian and Dutch postal companies for the most cost-effective shipments. The indicated shipment costs have been calculated according to the rates for shipments of up to 2 kilo. We will choose the most cost-effective shipment option, depending on the weight: either letter post or parcel post. Payment must be made before delivery; ordered books will be reserved during 12 days in expectation of payment or confirmation of shipment. Payment can be made by transferring money to our Belgian bank; banktransfer IBAN BE48 4098 5839 0127 and the BIC (Bank Identifier Code)(swift) / KREDBEBB , Payment via Paypal account erik.tonen@pandora.be is also possible. Prices are net prices and free of VAT (margin arrangement) and expressed in euros. Shipment and payments costs are charged to the customer. Each shipment contains a delivery slip. Ordered books will remain our property until payment has been received. Our books are shipped in decently packaged form; The state of the books is not specified if the works are in good condtion (smaller, minor defects such as an ex libris stamp, a name on the first page, minimal wear and tear etc. are not specified, unless specifically requested). If the ordered works do not match the specified description, they may be reshipped within seven days after receipt, after prior notice.
