Yelloe cloth bound boards with bright silver gilt titling to the spine and front cover. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket, which is not price-clipped. There are tears and chipping to the dustjacket extremities, along with edge-wear to the head and tail of the dustjacket spine. There is light fading to the base colour of the dustjacket spine, although the lettering is still bright and clear. There is slight bumping to the top and bottom of the cloth boards, Otherwise there are NO inscriptions or other marks. 484 pp. Illustrated throughout with b/w and colour plates. Acknowledgments; Bibliography; Index; Credits. Overall, apart from the 'faults', as detailed above, this is a Very Clean, Tight and Bright , 'Very Good' copy. "Within the pages of this centennial volume that celebrates the National Geographic's insatiable curiosity with the world around it, it is my hope that readers may gain some insight into what makes the society tick as well." Please note that this book is overweight and very heavy at 2. 6Kg and MAY require extra postage depending on your location. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
