New York: Farrar & Rinehart, Inc., 1931. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, light blue cloth boards show some light toning and fading to edges and spine, there also some scuffing and spotting present. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues other than some light pulling at the half title page. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where there is a very faint indication that something was written in the corner and then later erased. The end pages and pastedowns show toning and some spotting as do a couple of other areas. The toning was mainly caused by an old newspaper clipping from 1932 that talks about when the author's husband passed away. This clipping stays with the book.
