London: Hodder & Stoughton. First Edtion . Hardcover. Very Good/Good +. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. A former owner has added his bookplate to the front free end paper, but there are no other marks or indications of wear. The folded map mounted on the second-last end paper is present. The burgundy covers are fresh, with minor wear at edges and corners. The gilt lettering on spine and front cover remains bright The unclipped dust jacket is only in Good condition, with a darkened spine, shallow chipping and folding at the top and bottom of the spine area, handling and rubbing to the lightly coloured areas, etc. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition
