Vii, 485 pp. + 48 pp. ads, frontis port. with tissue guard, hundreds of diagrams, index of openings, 8vo, red buckram with gilt decoration of chess board with pieces on front board, cartouche on spine. Nearly Fine: a very tight, unread/unopened copy with very bright, unworn, unfaded boards. Only minor flaws are near owner's inscription inside, some fading to spine. As lovely a copy as you are likely to find.
