Brown cloth with title in gilt on spine and image of a snail in gilt on front cover. Condition: Very good, with light shelfwear and scuffing to covers and light bumping to head and tail of spine. Binding sound. Signed, inscribed and dated 1899 by the author to the previous owner on the reverse of the front endpaper. Folding map opposite title page (map has a 3.5 inch horizontal tear to base). Light foxing to rear endpapers. 110pp. plus an errata page..
