Three volume set bound in navy cloth boards with gilt design on front covers, gilt spine lettering. Volume 1 has illustrated front end paper, bw illustrated front end paper, xv, 60 pp followed by 152 bw plates. Volume 2 has illustrated front end paper, bw illustrated title page, xvi, 54 pp followed by 169 bw plates. Volume 3 has illustrated front end paper, bw illustrated title page, 122 pp with bw illustrations; 170 pp with bw illustrations, viii index in rear. A three volume complete set, reprint of the 1896-98 edition. Volume 1 has 100 plates and 93 illustrations in the text. Volume 2 has 100 plates and 95 illustrations in the text. Volume 3 includes 3 supplements with 20 plates adn 860 illustrations.
