Rebound in 3/4 leather, 5 raised bands, with gilt titles and decorations, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. A beautiful copy. Bound in is a special presentation page for the Ratcliffe Hicks Prize signed by Henry Wriston, President of Brown University. The prize was awarded to a member of the class of 1939. The recipient went to serve for 36 years as a professor of English at the University of Vermont.
