Illustrator: Photographic. 350 g; 160 pages, indexed, with black-and-white frontispiece and 18 other black-and-white photographs. Photographic illustrated dust jacket. Foxing to the top and front edge of the text block, offset tanning of the front and rear end pages, original bookseller's rubberstamp to the lower right-hand corner of the front free end page. The dust jacket which has been crudely price clipped, is missing the top quarter of the rear panel and is rubbed at each of the corners, with short tears. This is a book of the history of the attack on the four-minute mile, with the author being one of the leaders in the fight to achieve the "impossible". Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
