Abstract, preface and foreword by editor. Black and white photograph of Donald H. Menzel at the beginning of the text. The text is illustrated with black-and-white line drawings, illustrations and photographs. Plaintext paperback binding with pink and white coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. A symposium held in honour of Donald H Menzel's contribution to the field of astrophysics on the event of his 70th birthday. Quoting from the verso of the title page " ... Men's all handy school have made distinguished contributions to the theory of atomic physics, solar physics, and gaseous nebulae stop the work on planetary nebulae represented the first investigations of non-equilibria thermodynamic conditions in astronomy, the solar work extended these investigations to stellar atmospheres. The applied atomic physics laid the basis for what we now call laboratory Astromodal dynamics, inspired the founding of the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics." This book is an ex-library copy – from the Defence Statistics Laboratories Library – with library stamps, including cancellation stamps to the front cover and remnants of a sticker to be seen on the verso of the rear cover. Rubbing of the book edges and panels with a little Chipping of the back strip edges. Sunning and rubbing of the book panels with age toning of the text block edges and pages.
