About This Item

(place not given): Praeger & Meier, 1866. Assumed First Edition . Sheet Music. Fair. 9.75" x 12.25. Plate No.130. An uncharacteristically virtuosic Minuet (Maestoso - Allegro moderato) by the distinguished German-Swiss composer-pianist Joachim Raff (1822-1882). 7 pages. CONDITION: These are loose pages, apparently trimmed around the margins to excise substantial edge-wear. There is a spot on the title page, a small chip in the right margin of the last page, and a slight ripple at the top of all the pages. Fingerings and other annotations have been penciled in by a previous owner. This remains a quite respectable copy of a rare 19th-century piano piece - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
